Welcome to Healthy Habits for Life

Hello! My name is Jim Jensen. I’m the founder of The original Essential Boomer podcast and Blog. My mission is to enable you to live a long and healthy life. My focus is on the latest, science-based health habits that are proven to extend your healthspan. I have renamed my blog to Healthy Habits for Life to reflect my mission.

Healthspan
A person’s healthspan is the length of time that the person is healthy—not just alive.

Health Habit
A self-induced change to our body’s biology and/or physiology through science-based dietary and lifestyle changes resulting in biological rejuvenation accompanied by a measurable increase in physiological and/or psychological functionality.
