Ron has been a sales professional in the energy field since 2002 and is currently the Director of Sales in the software division at Siemens Energy, where he is involved with operations intelligence and process safety. We also get to know Ron as a person. Ron shares some great personal stories.
Ron also created The McLeod Learning Group in 2001 where he is a Mentor and coach to small businesses specializing in IT infrastructure services and data warehousing services.
He currently lives with Becky, his wife of 22 years in Cedar Park, Texas. He loves travel, astronomy, photography and very corny jokes.
In this interview Ron talks about his involvement in the field of international energy development. He also shares with us his concerns and vision for the future of energy, our dependency on oil, and his advice on how us boomers can prepare for the future.
Ron also tells us about his creation of the Mcleod Learning Group and how it has benefited many small and medium-sized business owners.
We also get to know Ron as a person, including his thoughts on coming of age in the 1960’s and his love of photography, astronomy and weather. He shares some very memorable encounters with Mother Nature. Ron goes on to discuss some personal stories and insights including the best advice that he was ever given, his personal spiritual practices, and what he is the most proud of. Ron also gives us a personal look at who has been the most influential person to him in his life.
We finish up the interview with Ron sharing his bucket list and some excellent parting advice for us boomers.
