Hello fellow and honorary boomers!
My name is Jim Jensen and, I too, am a baby boomer, and proud of it.
I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and now live in San Mateo, on the peninsula.
I came of age here in the 1960’s and loved it.
I have always been a dreamer and have been self-employed for much of my life. I’ve been a carpenter, a commercial photographer, a QA engineer and, over the past 15 years, owned my own adaptive fitness business.
My life mission is simple:
To empower everyone to enjoy life to their fullest potential, regardless of their challenges.
Over the last 15 years I’ve done one-on-one training with many people dealing with a wide array of physical challenges. I’ve worked with people from 8 to 100 years old and I strive to stay abreast of the latest research and trends in health and fitness.
I’ve lived with my partner, the love of my life, Laura, for over 21 years. I’m the luckiest guy in the world to have found her. I have 2 incredible daughters along with 2 world-class son-in-laws.
we have also welcomed to the planet our two gorgeous and amazing grand-daughters, Ravenna and Nevica.
Laura and I have also had two great dogs supplying us with more love than we could handle.
I am truly blessed.
Spiritually, I believe that there is an intelligent connection with everything throughout the universe. I don’t align with any of the mainstream flavors of religion but I do believe that my “spirit” will exist after my body cashes in its chips.
My personal spiritual practice includes meditation, gratitude, immersing myself in nature, dog slurps, and of course, IPAs.
My hobbies include hanging out with family and friends, cooking, photography, home-improvement projects, bird-watching, hiking, brewing ales, exercise, music, writing, electronic geekery, and listening to podcasts.
