For the better part of 20 years Charlie worked in the hedge fund industry where He grew tired of building someone else’s dream and decided to build his own. And so, He went online and in a matter of just a few years, transitioned from working for someone else to creating a strong online presence for his many business ventures.
Charlie’s podcast, The Boomer Business Owner, which I love, was launched in January of 2014 and at the time of this interview has 366 episodes.
In this interview Charlie provides us boomers with some excellent advice and insights into the nuts and bolts of starting an online business.
I ask Charlie the following questions:
-
Tell us a bit about yourself and what led you to creating the Boomer Business Owner.
-
What are the trends, patterns or common threads that you’ve found among your 377+ guests on your podcast?
-
On almost all of the interviews of your podcast you ask your guests if they avail themselves the services of a personal coach or mentor. Do you have a coach?
-
What’s the best way to find a coach?
-
Explain to your fellow boomers just what a lifestyle business is and why so many of us boomers are adapting that kind of a business model?
-
What are the most important skills and personal traits required for creating a successful on-line business?
-
What are the biggest mistakes that us baby boomers make when creating a new business?
-
Do you have any parting advice that you’d like to share with your fellow boomers?
